Financial Aid
If you don’t qualify for Maine’s Free Tuition program, you may still receive tuition at little to know cost by applying for Financial Aid. Financial aid is available to both full- and part-time students. Learn more now.
However you choose to pay for attending SMCC, you can rest easy knowing that we offer among the lowest tuition in New England.
Gather these things for your application process:
Current High School Seniors
A copy of your current high school transcripts.
All Other Applicants
- A copy of your high school transcript, diploma, HiSET or GED, or homeschool diploma.
Exemptions:
If you have an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree:- You do not need to provide proof of high school graduation
- You must have your official transcript(s) sent from your previous college(s)
- Additional Information (please send any applicable to you)
- Previously taken SAT/ACT scores
- Previously taken Accuplacer scores
- Previous English course taken at another college/university
- AP/IB scores
- TOEFL/IELTS
- Hi-Set/GED scores
- Final high school transcript with GPA listed

A Note About Official College Transcripts
Official college transcripts must be sent directly to SMCC from each institution you attended.
We will review transcripts and apply any qualifying credits.
A Note About Immunizations
You will need to submit proof of your Diphtheria/Tetanus, Measles, Mumps and Rubella immunizations before you attend any classes or activities at SMCC. To learn more, visit our Immunizations webpage.
