Get a Scholarship to Experience a 4-Year College Environment at Vassar College
The Exploring Transfer (ET) program at Vassar College is designed for community college students who are interested in continuing their education at a competitive four-year college. This program is offered during the summer and is co-taught by Vassar and community college professors. Students who apply and are accepted will receive a scholarship that covers tuition, room, board, books, supplies, and a travel stipend. Participants live in a dorm on the Vassar campus in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and are encouraged to work and study collaboratively.
Students of all ages who are the first in their family to attend college and those from under-represented groups and disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
Once students are enrolled at SMCC, they are welcome to complete an application. The application process includes a personal essay, college transcripts, and two faculty evaluations.
