Navigating Our New Information Systems
SMCC is updating our information systems, and we want to provide helpful information around these transitions. If you have questions that you can’t find the answers to, we encourage you to reach out or visit our offices directly. View contact info here.
Current Students Make Sure To:
1. Claim Your New @mainecc.edu Email Address
If You Started Classes This Fall 2024:
You should have already set up or received an invitation to setup your @mainecc.edu email account. You can search your @smccME.edu email account for an email from ithelp@mainecc.edu with this info.
If You Started Classes This Spring 2025:
You should receive an invite to set up your @mainecc.edu email account on or around March 17.
It is important that you claim and set up this email, otherwise you will not be able to access tools such as registering for classes and paying your bill that are essential to your success.
2. Make Note of Updates to MySMCC and a Blackout Period
MySMCC is currently being updated to a new online environment. This environment will be available on or around March 17.
The current MySMCC portal (the one you’re used to using), is still available to access using your @smccME.edu email address and login, however there will be a blackout period from on or around March 3-March 16 where certain functions such as searching and registering for classes will not be available.
You will receive an error message when you try to select these functions from the existing environment. These functions will be available again starting on or around March 17 in the new MySMCC environment.
3. Make Note of Which Email Address to Use
Now Through the End of the Spring Semester
Use your @smccME.edu Email & Login to access:
Starting March 17 through the end of the Spring Semester
Use your @mainecc.edu Email to Access:
- The new MySMCC Student Portal (where you’ll find important tools and including links to check your grades and pay your bills)
- Anthology Student Portal (where you’ll register for Summer and Fall Classes)
4. Attend an Anthology Student Workshop Session
The Anthology Student Portal is an environment that you will be able to link to from the new MySMCC portal in the future.
